And gold will easily surpass $5000/ounce in the future. It's almost guaranteed as long as the US government continues to debase its currency. Once people flee the dollar en masse, they will put their trust in gold.

Not at all. Cheney would prefer a limited scale undeclared war that involves long term occupation and lends itself to massive government contracts to the "civilian" companies.
