Good Sleep

Habit of having coffee frequently is found common in many of us. this may provide them temporary energy and they may feel good at the moment, but the caffeine can decrease the serotonin level which will increase the chances of depression.Instead have a green tea which will be refreshing and also good for your health.
Stress
Stress is one of strong reason for depression, too much of stress is not healthy to your mind. Control your stress level through proper work out, meditation and other methods. To get rid of stress, you can also take a break and go for holiday with your loved ones.
Anger
Anger will not give any good result, it harms your mind and Body and will make situation worse. take things lighter and handle situation in a calm manner. You can come out with better decision when you are calm. Forgive people for their actions, it controls anger. it also helps you to be a better person. also try to be spiritual, prayers will give you peace of mind and relaxation.
Physical Fitness and Food
Physical fitness is essential to fight depression, work out daily, if you are unable to go to Gym, have a brisk walk for 30 minutes. Eat lot of vegetables, nuts and fruits. it is proved that Omega 3 helps to improve your mood. Omega 3 is found in Fish, hence add fish in your diet. Intake of the right food will help you to stay fit. Multivitamins deficiency may also cause depression symptoms, so in case you lack balanced diet go for multivitamins pills regularly. Avoid alcohol consumption, since it is a depressant and not good for your body.
Entertainment
Try to do new things which will refresh your mind, it may be learning salsa or kite surfing. Music is the best medicine for depression, listen to mild music which will be soothing to your mind. Try to have a hearty laugh which will change your mood. Always have happy and energetic people around you and avoid dull and serious people.

CBT tries to eliminate the negative feeling which causes depression and IPT teaches to work on their problematic relationship that may be reason for depression. these therapies will help you to overcome the depression.
