Japan has substituted cheap labor by using full automation, full computerization, full robotization, making the work place robot friendly as well as human friendly. And by making everything technologically accessible to robots, raning from simple tools to ultra-sophisticated, super-complicated equipment, gadgets, devices, controls, monitors, effectors, etc. No need for immigrants-based cheap labor or overseas outsourcing.
