Watch the sizes of cereal boxes over the last few years...that shrinking box IS the inflation.

I think at one time the U.S. gov't sent people to jail for possession of gold. Even today you can be sent to jail for pressing gold coins. In canada young adult person willing to pay can own & buy gold.

I am more attracted to gold, but if you and other goldbugs are elected and introduce gold standard or gold as currency, how do you skirt criticism that you are just feathering your nests by doing that? How can you evade the accusation that there is a conflict of interests in doing that? Kind of corrupt. Say I had a great collection of seashells and I became president and then introduced shells as currency, I would be accused of acting out of self-interest.

How does a minor open a brokerage account and how does an ethical stock broker allow children to make their own investment decisions while taking a commission along the way?
