@lukkbox The pretense of differing parties keeps the citizenry distracted fighting amongst themselves over trivial social issues. Both parties are bloodsucking parasites on the people. Once you understand this, you begin to gain enlightenment and it all seems very clear and obvious.

@IWashMyOwnBrain To believe that the Fed is doing a good job doubling the money supply in less than two years is to say that you approve of the government redistributing our wealth to the large corps and banks. Because it is these groups that benefit from inflation.
Inflation is to increase the size of something. The term inflating prices is appropriate to use. But we are told that this is inflation, when in reality 'inflation' is caused by the money supply growing faster than production.

Now look at the price of oil. It is much lower than $86. I do agree that oil will go up because of inflation. However, when the markets are going down oil goes down as well. There is a disconnect. I would not be surprised if oil goes below $68 in the coming weeks.
People spend like they will have a job to go to forever. Without saving a portion each pay check it's just another ticking time bomb. Mini recessions occur all the time in families whose breadwinner loses his job but they correct when they learn to become responsible and budget.
The real economic crisis is caused by Government Spending. Bailing out banks for trillions, and untimely healthcare hit for another trillion is negligence if not criminal. It is they who are destroying our economy.
Of course, Peter Schiff is right about excess spending and low savings. But that isnt the only problem with the US economy. The US economy is monopolized. I am afraid of what would happen if Schiff-ites dramatically cut spending without dealing with all of the economy's problems.
STOP paying debt and walkaway from underwater mortgage?...and guess who's got who by the balls.

This whole fucking economy is built on fraud, lies and garbage, folks who once believed in the "system" are losing faith. Motivated by do-or-die necessity, Non-Believers are un-willing to go under or live on the streets but will instead devise ingenious ways to beat that system, breaking from debt slavery and usury, get off the grid as much as possible, stay under the radar.
