How can Medicaid age out a child at 19 on prescription coverage for both their ADD and Depression medications?

I have three adopted children all siblings. Two have ADD and one has ADHD. Two also have depression and are on medications. Now that my daughter turned 19 Medicaid will not pay for her medications which would cost over $300.00 per month out of pocket. We already pay over $600.00 monthly on health insurance and mom is disabled and homebound. There is something really wrong with this decision!

Age 19 is an adult. She has to apply for Medicaid on her own if she qualifies as an adult. She should get a job with health care benefits. She could try holistic or natural remedies, they are cheaper. She should have grown out of ADD by age 19. She needs exercise and a good diet and a job.

It is a fact of life. however it is a fact of transition as well. She needs to be applied for Medicaid on her own as an adult. also you need to work out with the docs what will work with her med wise which is on the medicaid formulary. those meds should be covered.
