How do the symptoms of drug addiction and Manic-Depression differ, and how are they similar? are the symptoms of prescription drug addiction different from the symptoms of street drug addiction? I am wondering because there seems to be something wrong with my neighbor and she neglects her children. but before I speak to her husband or the authorities, I want to figure out what I am going to say. her husband works in the airline industry, so he is often gone days at a time. whether or not her husband is home, she is hardly ever at her house. she comes home at 1 or 2 in the morning and leaves at around 6 in the morning. Sometimes she is out all night. her children's ages range from 5 to 14. she does not cook for them, do the laundry, bath them, or help them when they are injured, etc. Just last week her five year old was left home all alone on a school day. (Her 10 year old sibling was smart enough to tell one of the neighbors). If she does stay home, she has them cook for her, massage her feet, etc. all the neighbors notice her neglect- even the new ones. A neighbor told us when the youngest children were 1 and 3 she saw them running around the neighborhood in just their diapers, no shoes, and there was snow on the ground. This was not a one time thing- they did it all winter! Our hearts just break for those children! My husband tried to talk to her husband, but he was very defensive. He is a very sweet man and loves his children. however, he does not like confrontation. I can't tell the difference between an emotional problem and drug addiction, but I do know one thing for sure- this woman is a narcissist. she does not care one bit about the feelings or needs of others - not even her own children! in addition to all these problems one of her children tortures, kills, and has conversations with dead animals. when this child is invited over to one of the neighbor's houses, she spends her whole time purposely breaking toys and anything else in the house. she also steals things. The neighborhood would love to invite these children to their homes to give them some food and TLC, but this one child with problems keeps us from doing it as often as we would like. Now we are just trying to figure out how to help these children without causing too much trauma to the them.
if they dont come down
Just call child protective services. You can do it anonymously and they will investigate and take the appropriate action.

I was very surprised to hear about the prescription drugs in our water supplies. I would like to know what drugs we have been drinking.
