Wanted to see who has been staying awake all night, that way I'll have someone to chat with. the more research I read on manic-depression the more I learn to appreciate my illness and you the excellent talents that come with it. There has been a correlation found between manic-depression, intelligence, and creativity. Something to be proud of; we are all wonderful and talanted people.

Here in body , with ear plugs on...LOL. it runs in her family , not mine.One of your answerers was right. and wrong. Bipolars are smart , inteligent people and many are creative. but that organized creativity usually doesn't go full circle. They may wright beautifull poetry or stories, paint, sculpt, or do any number of activities a heck of a lot better than me and 9/10ths of the other people out there. They do also have their not so attractive side. Refusing to take resposibility unless they want to, bad spending habits,awfull homemakers, quick to start arguments,and more.If the unaffected partner in the relationship doesn't learn quickly, (I didn't) it can cause a lot of grief. I now look at it as a trade-off and in a way, I'm ahead.LOL

Well, as I too have read the information, I found that that sort of info is just there to make you feel better. not everyone with bipolar disorder is intelligent, creative or talented. It's nice to see you thinking on the bright side. That's why they publish such propaganda about famous people with bipolar or the working artist. It's manipulative to get you to accept your disorder, so that you take your medication.
How many people with bipolar/manic-depression are on answers to night?
