Both depression and bipolar a lot of times go undiagnosed and untreated. whether a male or female a lot of these issues tend to get pushed to the side and never actually looked at as an illness.
If you are not sure if you suffer from either of these illnesses, but have a feeling that you might, read on for symptoms and natural alternative treatments and supplements.
Depression is something that millions of people suffer from, but most are not aware of it. a lot of times, women are labeled as just being moody. while most men that suffer from depression either don't know what it is or what is causing it. or they are afraid to say anything because of the risk of being looked down upon by their peers.
Some of the signs of depression are loss of appetite, sleep, and sex drive. one of the most common symptoms are fatigue, lack of energy, and being extremely tired. it makes doing what should be simple everyday tasks, extremely hard. being sad or unhappy and having trouble concentrating is another sign. Depression can even effect you physically, like back pain or headaches.
Bipolar is a lot of times referred to as manic depressive disorder. the difference between depression and bipolar disorder is you can have huge variations of moods. Sometimes only effecting you a handful of times a year. while other times changing on a daily or even hourly basis. with bipolar disorder there is usually a peak of a high or low. Depression is the low and can reach extreme levels of sadness, being lonely, or hopelessness. while the other extreme is mania which is the high which you can experience happiness to the point of euphoric and have a lot of energy. a lot of times, these occur at the same time.
A lot of people think the only way to treat these issues is by medication prescribed by a Doctor. I have tried several of the medications that Doctors prescribe for this and I would strongly advice seeking a natural alternative. I say this because almost every one of these prescriptions have side effects worse than the problem itself.
I have found a few products that I personally use on a daily basis to help with these issues and have had incredible results. Far better than any of the medicines I was prescribed by my Doctor without the side effects. the first one I use is Omega 3, it helps level out your hormones. I would start off with 1000 milligrams and adjust if you need more. the key to this is getting the liquid softgels, because it enters into your body in a matter of minutes verses hours. There is no such thing as a time released pill or vitamin. after about 30 minutes, whatever is going to get into your system is already there, the rest is eliminated from your body. That's why it's better to get 1000 milligrams (or less) and take it a few times a day or as needed. your body can only absorb so much at a time anyway.
The other product I use on a daily basis that has been extremely beneficial is from Nature made and it's called Women's Flax plus, it has omega 3, vitamin D, and primrose oil. Primrose oil has a calming effect on PMS symptoms as well.
