And I do see the changes in myself...but I don't feel "cured" so to speak...the worst part wasn't my hypo mania or depression...it was my uncontrolable mood swings...the medicine I was put on is called lamictal which is to help stablize my moods...but there's a problem...I still have bad mood swings that I can't fully control...there not as bad as before, but to me there still up there...and on top of that I still get manic and depressed...I really have no idea what to do anymore...I really need advice
I'm sorry you are under such stress.
Things have improved somewhat--just not as much as you want.
I would tell the psychiatrist who prescribed the Lamictal everything you said here. perhaps you need a higher dose--or an increase in the times you take it per day. or something added, such as Abilify.
There really is no 'cure'--just medicine to help control/stabilize it.

You do need to talk to your doctor about this. You may need a different dose or even to take it more often. You may need to adjust the meds a bit. Unfortunately there is no 'cure' there is only tools to help control it.
Also, you should be watching what you eat. You need to be eating small healthy meals every 2-3 hours. your mood is affected by what you put into your body. So if you are eating junk your body isn't getting the full requirement to regulate things like your mood. take a multivitam even is you are a picky eater. if not then a B complex vitamin will help too.
I can relate to your problem.I too am bipolar and had the same symptoms.Especially the horrible mood swings. they tried me on Lamictal but it did not work that great for me.now I'm on Lithium which is in the same family. And that is working better. You should talk to your doctor again and let him/her what is going on with you. There's other med's they can add to go with the lamictal. Sometimes it's trail and error with meds. So call that doctor and let them know.
