    Not a very good documentary. From 6:00 to 6:50 in this video, it's pretty funny how they spoke of the feds so heroically when they were for the most part inept and out of their league at the time. At its inception, they were not allowed to carry any weapons at all. And when they were allowed to, they didn't know how to use them depending on local police to train them. And their "sophisticated labs" constantly mishandled evidence. But we always have to make the good guys look good don't we.

    there has been some evidence to suggest that some robberies were prearranged with the bankers themselves. Banks were insured for robberies but not for failures. If robbed they could claim dillinger had stolen thousands more than reality and be able to make a profit from the heists

    Who is worse? The "Big Bad Bank Robbing Man" or the people pushing and shoving just to get a glimpse of him. He is a spectactle, something they, we are drawn to. After a while nobody cares if he has killed or what he has done just that he exists for us to follow and admire. And though nobody would admit they admired a bank robbing cop killer, they, we did. And we still do. Thats why Johnny Depp and pals glorified it even more. Fucking hypocrits if you talk shit about Dillinger.

    @trappy77 the government had nothing to do with the bank depression. It was the people's own fault for buying actions and it was the banks' fault for not keeping stable interest and inflation rates. I believe even if you know their history, tese gangsters were still violent mobsters praying on the desperate and getting away with it because the paople chose the bakns as scapegoat.

    @Regenmacher175
    That depends on your view of the situation. As the mindset of these "criminals" is of a rebellious spirit against a government that blatantly breaks constitutional law, these people are engaged in an act of war against an oppressive force. Therefore they can easily be seen as hero's even if their efforts were squashed.

    In a war the laws of the land are of no effect.

    If you simply look at them as law breakers for personal gain you ignore the personal histories of the men.

    I THINK THERE WAS A LOT MORE HUMAN DIGNITY BACK THEN EVEN THOUGH YOU HAD THE RACE THING AND WOMEN WERE BEING TREATED AS THIRD RATE THERE WAS STILL MORE DIGNITY THAN TODAY. BOYS IN MY HOOD LET THEIR DRAWERS SHOW, BACK IN THE DAYS THEY WORE SUITS EVEN IN THE GHETTO

  14. Alara0625 says:

    GANGSTERS MAKE THIS WORLD ROTATE, RESPECT THAT. THE GANGSTERS ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT CHECK THE POWER OF THE LAW, GANGSTERS GIVE THOSE SO CALLED LEGAL PEOPLE JOBS, GANGSTERS DO EXACTLY WHAT THE GOVERNMENT DOES AND THAT IS WHY THEY DO NOT LIKE GANGSTERS. I WOULDN'T SAY GLORIFY THEM CAUSE YOU SHOULDN'T GLORIFY ANYTHING BUT RESPECT THE GAME.

    Nobody knew "the reality of Dillinger" except those closest to him. Cold-blooded killer...pfft. He was probably the nicest, most generous "gangster" in American history.

    Nice music.

  21. 39tommyboy says:

    isnt it funny how most men wore suits back then for everyday use??? if ya did that today where i live. youre either a banker or a undertaker more likely a undertaker with cold ass hands to shake. and a soft ghostly voice. kinda freaky now. lol godbless.

  22. InfoOnly2U says:

    I give them props the banks rob people with pen and paper. These people only rob the robbers, but as usaul the american governement tells the people to name them thugs. We are slaves of the this country nothing is changed but the fact that it is more economical to make all work for the wealthy. If you ever notice they take no thought in to bailout works but businesses who own these business the wealthy. They only want you to work..
