The Main Symptoms Of Depression And Anxiety

Depression, OCD's, Fear, Phobias and Panic are all forms of anxiety, which simply is a learned fear, sometimes a persons symptoms can be triggered by something specific such as a crowded place other times, it may be triggered out of the blue, this happens if the anxiety generalises and can therefore appear anywhere.

Anxiety however is a natural state. for example, were you to find yourself in the wilderness & see a snake, it would be a natural reaction for you to panic & reach safety. But sometimes our natural anxiety or phobic mechanism can over generalise, meaning it starts to go into places it really ought not to this is simply because a person focuses on it consistently with emotion hence this impresses change at the subconscious level and the person experiences the Fear.

It does this simply because under feelings of anxiety a person inevitably rehearses it over and over again in their mind until it became automatic.

Have you ever heard of the Pavlov's dog experiment? where Pavlov took a dog and whenever the dog encountered some food, of course, the dog would salivate because that's a natural reaction that dogs have when they smell food. So repeatedly, the dog, saw and smelled food, and would salivate and Pavlov would ring a bell. So,. smell the food, ring a bell, the dog would salivate. the dog would smell food, Pavlov would ring the bell, the dog would salivate. He did this over and over and over again. Eventually it got to the point where Pavlov could ring the bell, without the food being around, and the dog would salivate. because the sound of the ringing bell had become associated with the other response.

In your environment there are things which are triggering that automatic response of Anxiety or Panic, quite simply put, you can relearn or train your mind easily for a different response one of calmness one of happiness.

Most peoples symptoms may be similar to the following below:
