Roaring '20s fuel Clermont 'Gatsby' celebration
CLERMONT — Clermont Historic Site became the place for time travel Sunday when “Great Gatsby Family Day” took visitors whirling back eight decades to the years just after Prohibition and just before the Depression: the 1920s. It might have been called “Gatsby in Wonderland,” as it featured a man riding an ostrich, a giant’s checkerboard, a boy on stilts, a talking monkey and a talking dog.
